Summary
MaiD does not collect, store, or transmit any data. The app is sandboxed and has no network entitlement, so it cannot reach the internet at all. Australware does not run any backend, analytics, telemetry, or crash-reporting service that MaiD communicates with.
What MaiD stores on your device
- Your documents — wherever you save them. MaiD does not copy them elsewhere.
- Your preferences (appearance, sidebar visibility, recent files, etc.)
in macOS
UserDefaultsfor the app, locally on your Mac. - macOS-managed document state — auto-save versions and Recent Items, which macOS handles for any document-based app.
What MaiD does not do
- It does not make any network connection — the app has no network entitlement.
- It does not collect analytics or telemetry.
- It does not report crashes to Australware. (macOS may show a system crash report dialog; any submission goes to Apple under your control, not to Australware.)
- It does not require, or use, an account.
Children
MaiD is suitable for all ages. It does not collect any data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
